Mix together ingredients and shake well.
If you like a lot of marinade, double or even triple this amount.
Wipe meat with damp cloth and put into a deep bowl. Pour marinade over the meat and wedge a few thick slices of onion between the pieces of beef. Cover and keep in a cool place for 8 to 24 hours, stirring occasionally.
Remove the ribs from the sauce and brown it [sic]. Then add marinade and onions to meat, cover and bake in a moderate oven for one hour. Remove cover and bake until onions are brown and the fat is crisp.
Serve with baked potatoes and barbecue sauce or gravy made from the drippings.
