Layered Pear Salad Unverified!

Yield: 6 servings


  • 16 oz pear slices
  • 3 oz pkg lemon jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 3 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/8 tsp ground ginger
  • 8 walnut halves


Chop pears, set aide. Dissolve gelatin in hot water. Add pear juice adding water (to make) 1 cup.

To 2/3 of gelatin mixture add vinegar. Pour into 4 cup mold. Chill until almost firm.

Beat cream cheese and ginger until fluffy. Stir in rest of gelatin. Chill partly. Fold in pears. Arrange nuts on final layer then add pear mixture. Chill.
