Egg & Cheese Souffle Unverified!


  • 6 slices day-old bread, buttered
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • dash cayenne


Grease bottom of baking dish. Butter bread and cut into cubes. Layer 1/2 of bread cubes in bottom of casserole. Cover with 1/2 cup cheddar cheese. Repeat and set aside. Mix other ingredients. Pour over bread and cheese. Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight.

Bake 1/2 hour. Let stand 7-10 minutes before serving.
