Heat half & half in double boiler until hot but not boiling. Beat egg yolks, sugar and salt and gradually add hot half & half. Put mixture into baking dish and put into preheated oven at 350F and bake until set. Test like custard. Put in refrigerator until cool. Sprinkle a thin layer of brown sugar on top and put under the broiler Let brown sugar melt. Watch closely or it will burn.
Take 2 boxes of fresh strawberries. Mix 1 tablespoon of honey, and 2 Tablespoons of Kirsch and serve with creme brulee, or can be served with canned green gage plums.
