Pat half of loaf into rectangle 1/2 inch thick in shallow pan. Layer cheese over rectangle. Pat remaining meat loaf over cheese, sealing in the cheese. Mix chili sauce and mustard in a cup. Spread over top of loaf. Bake an hour.
Tomatoes Italienne: Saute 2 pints tomatoes in 3 Tbsp butter. Season with 1/2 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp Italian herbs and 1/2 tsp salt.
