Peppermint Bark Unverified!

Yet another chapter in my ongoing bout with labelholia.


  • 10-12 oz white baking pieces
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • 8-10 drops red food color
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies, optional


Line baking sheet with foil.

Heat baking pieces in a saucepan until nearly melted and remove from heat. Stir in extract and mix until smooth. Spread mixture onto baking sheat evenly -- use a spatula -- and spread mixture to 1/3 inch thick. If so desired, sprinkle the bark with food coloring and gently swirl to make o-so-pretty colors.

Chill for 10 minutes or until set and break into pieces. Cover and store in the fridge for up to five days.
