Corned Beef & Cabbage w/Apple Juice Unverified!

Prep time: 3-10 hours per method


  • 1/2 cup corned beef brisket
  • 1/2 gallon apple juice
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp prepared mustard
  • 1 onion, peeled and sectioned
  • 8 small red potatoes
  • 2 medium carrots, peeled and sectioned
  • 1/2 head cabbage, sectioned


Prepare either a large coverable stockpot or slow cooker. If cooking on a slow cooker combine all ingredients and cook on high for 4-5 hours or on low for 8-10 hours.

If cooking on the stovetop bring meat, apple juice, brown sugar and mustard to a boil and reduce to simmer for 40 minutes per pound of meat. Add vegetables at last 30 minutes.

Serve with veg and measure of cooking fluid.
