Angelica Liquer Unverified!


  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp anise seed
  • 20 corriander seeds
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 2 Tbl crystalized anglica stems
  • 2 cups superfine sugar
  • 1 bottle vodka
  • cheesecloth


Crush together fennel, anise, corriander seeds and cloves a bit. Chop the angelica stems and mix with seeds in a large preserving jar. Add the sugar and vodka and let sit someplace sunny for two weeks, swirling the mixture daily.

Strain through a cheesecltoh into a sterilized bottle and seal. Let set up for at least four months. The final note is "drink in small quantities with a piece of angelica in each glass"
