Spinach Dip Fave!

This is a favorite of my mother's and of my grandmothers as well. Always best if served into a hacked-up monster loaf of sourdough, though one could be genteel and use a sectioned baguette and spreading knives if you positively had to.

Ingredients

  • 2 large cartons (32oz) sour cream
  • 2 pkgs Knorr's vegetable soup
  • 3 scallion onions (for chives)
  • 1 pkg (16 oz) cream cheese, softened, softened
  • 1 pkg frozen chopped spinach, drained
  • 1 can water chestnuts, diced
  • monster sourdough loaf, hollowed

Preparation

Refrigerate to allow flavor to develop. Hollow out round loaf of French bread. Cut rremoved bread into squares and fill hollow with dip.
