Spanish Sloppy Joes Unverified!

Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 tbl butter
  • 1 lb ground chuck
  • 1 tbl vinegar
  • 1 tbl lemon juice
  • 1 tbl Worchestershire sauce
  • 1 cup celery, chopped very fine
  • 1 cup onion, chopped fine
  • 1 cup catsup
  • 1 can condensed tomato soup
  • 1 tbl sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic juice(!), however you can get it
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 hamburger buns

Preparation

In a deep covered skillet melt butter and lightly brown meat. Add vinegar, lemon juice, worchester sauce, celery, onion, catsup and mix well. Bring to a simmer and add tomato soup, sugar, garlic, salt and water. Cover and simmer for 60 minutes.

If mixture is still a bit moist at the end of an hour, uncover and allow water to cook off.
