Prepare either a large coverable stockpot or slow cooker. If cooking on a slow cooker combine all ingredients and cook on high for 4-5 hours or on low for 8-10 hours.
If cooking on the stovetop bring meat, apple juice, brown sugar and mustard to a boil and reduce to simmer for 40 minutes per pound of meat. Add vegetables at last 30 minutes.
Serve with veg and measure of cooking fluid.
