Chronicle Citrus-Cranberry Sauce Unverified!

Ingredients

  • 3" piece cinnamon
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 3 slies fresh ginger, 1/8" thick
  • 1 whole orange, unpeeled, thinly slied
  • 2 cups water
  • 4 cups cranberries
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Preparation

In a 2 quart saucepan combine cinnamon, cloves, ginger, orange and water and bring to a boil. Reduce to simmer for 5 minutes. Remove cinnamon, cloves and ginger before adding cranberries and sugar. Simmer until cranberries break down and sauce slightly thickens, 6 or more minutes.
